Dry-Series

At Robie we believe it’s important to rethink how we view plastic waste. Instead of allowing it to sit in landfill, or worse, in our oceans, we are proud to use fabrics made from recycled plastics. Virgin plastic, polymer-based fabrics are extracted from petroleum, which is an unsustainable and finite resource. Recycled nylon reduces our reliance on fossil fuels, requires less energy and water, and reduces air pollution. The synthetic fabrics we source are GRS certified; an independent, international full product standard, covering chain of custody (where the plastic comes from and who deals with it along the way), as well as social and environmental practices.

The Dry-Series protects you from the elements, whilst being kind to the planet. The outer layer is waterproof, windproof and breathable. This is due to our use of PFC-free BIONIC FINISH® ECO Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment. Perfluorochemicals (PFCs) are a group of chemicals used to make fluoropolymer coatings and products that resist heat, oil, stains, grease, and water. We opt to use PFC-free treatments on our products as there is a growing body of scientific evidence that PFCs may be toxic to humans and to ecosystems. The eco-friendlier DWR we use is just as effective, but better for mother nature.

To keep you extra warm our Dry-Series robes are lined with recycled heavyweight shearling fleece for ultimate insulation, fully waterproof taped seam construction and deep fleece microfibre (hand-warmer) cargo pockets. The full length 2-way reversible YKK® zip features a tactile rubber puller, especially for cold or wet hands!

Original-Series

Back in 2007 we created the first ever Robie. The Original-Series is designed to keep you cosy and covered as you get changed, whatever the conditions. The simple, classic design is made out of top-quality Turkish cotton. It’s also super soft, as the 100% cotton construction is made up of an outer velour and inner soft terry towelling.

Turkish cotton is a premium textile made up of long fibres and is grown in the Aegean Region in the west of Turkey. It is stronger and smoother than regular cotton, and becomes softer and more comfortable the more it is used and washed. Perfect for our Robies, which are made to last the test of time and be worn over and over again.

Fix It Scheme

With sustainability in mind, we offer a fix it scheme on all our products. Our products are robust, but if your Robie rips, tears or needs a bit of love, you can get in touch and we’ll do what we can to repair it, ensuring it is given another lease of life.
